Food and Beverages

Rhosonics offers products that are designed to measure beverages, including beer, as well as dairy liquids. Our instruments can measure brix, original gravity, alcohol, and solids. In addition, Rhosonics offers applications to measure waste water.

In modern beer brewing, much of the original craftsmanship has been taken over by fully automated installations. Where product quality was once maintained by skilled and experienced personnel, who often checked the brewing process visually, modern breweries have come to rely on automated instrumentation to keep track of product flows, both quantitatively and qualitatively.

Rhosonics develops and produces ultramodern insitu, drift-free analysers for optimized process control. Rhosonics can measure mash and lauter tun, for in-line checks of the Wort Plato index, extract concentration, and density. But measurement of the sugar (Brix) or alcohol content is also possible. Within the beer industry, in-line COD measurement becomes more and more important as a brewery can produce a lot of waste water. Check our COD meter brochure for the possibilities or contact us by clicking on the button below.

Fruit juices and beverages

In all kind of processes, quality measurements are required. Processes like extracting juice, filtration, preservation, pasteurization, and concentrating are monitored via automated processes. Laboratory tests are important during the production process to determine the quality of liquids such as juice or dairy fluid.

Automatic insitu and drift-free Rhosonics analysers are very reliable when it comes to determining liquid properties. These realtime concentration measurements are highly accurate and directly available. Measurements of pulp or slurries can be carried out. In addition, our equipment can determine dissolved and non-dissolved components. Rhosonics offers complete applications for the measurement of gravity, density, sugar (Brix) content, acid and bases contents.

Edible oil, cooking oil

Several different processes are involved in the extraction of oil. During the production of edible oil and cooking oil, the oil-water balance is an important property. The amount of water in oil can be determined by Rhosonics analyzers, including low-concentrations. Ultrasonic sensors can also be used to measure the separation process of edible oil. Ultrasonic equipment can be installed in-line, where liquids can be measured and monitored accurately in order to optimize the process.
